Google Map API - Dynamic SVG Overlay

Place thousands of SVG polygon symbols in the Google Map without impacting its Zoom/Pan performance. Uses an the Google Map API OverlayView object, populated with svg symbols. When the map is zoomed/panned, the overlay is resized, and its svg symbols are dynamically re-aligned. This example loads almost 3000 symbols into the Google Map.
Place and empty SVG element, with an ID, inline in your HTML page

The empty SVG element is then filled with symbols from an XML file. This SVG element is then called into OverlayView object's DIV when it is initialized. Its pointer-events are set to 'none' to assure event transparency of the svg overlay.
Note: The Google Map is styled at "Muted", to facilitate colored symbol viewing.
